"Legendary Entertainment are moving ahead with their adaptation of Marcus Sakey's Brilliance starring Will Smith, and it's being reported that the superstar actor may be joined by The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo herself, Noomi Rapace.

Directed by Nigerian-born filmmaker Julius Onah from a script by David Koepp, the story takes place in a world where a small group of people known as "brilliants" are born with powers that causes unrest among the humans and is eventually instigated into a full-on civil war.

Smith will play a federal agent with powers assigned to hunt down a powered terrorist while Rapace is in talks to play a tattooed and pierced "brilliant" also accused of being a terrorist by the government."
