For everyone's information - the winners were determined by 42 ballots. Thanks again to Magaynus for sending out PM reminders to everyone!

Also unfortunately xiayun didn't have time to do his amazing graphs this year, so....well, that's actually it.

I literally got home about 10 minutes ago after a 6 1/2 hour drive... was away at a convention in Roanoke Virginia... I'll try to do the animation thing but it may be brief. Sorry.

The first category didn't have a speech writer, so we'll just do it the old-fashioned quick way.

They say an image is worth 1000 words and I think they can say the same about a music note. Since the beginnings of cinema, even when motion pictures were silent, music was an integral part to enhance the experience and enjoyment of seeing a movie, with theatres hiring musicians, often pianists, to accompany the action that was happening on screen and making the audience more receptive by involving another sense.

Sometimes, the activation of a sense recalls another. Who can hear the Imperial March and not think of Darth Vader, the choirs chanting Ave Satani in the Omen and not think of the 666 symbol or the zither theme in The Third Man and not think of Orson Welles hiding in the sewers.

This year, we have a veteran composer with three nominations and two relative newcomers in the hunt for grabbing the win in the category of best original score.
