Paramount & Warner Bros (especially when they are a bit different, like for Sherlock Homes..) |

That's why I love Universal, because it's so easy and fun to make it correspond with the film that follows. For example, Waterworld. What a great studio intro. I can't think how Warner Bros. has ever changed their intro too much, and Paramount never do, but it's iconic which is why I like it. |

I don't know what you mean by too much but they often match the logo to the style and the feel of the movie. HP series comes to mind first. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RkDiA5ea2KQ |

1. Fox (just because of the classic orchestra music) 2. MGM (the lion) 3. WB (sometimes they play with their logo which I find cool) |

MGM's, with Leo the Lion, is my favorite. Among the major distributors and studios, I also dig the Warner Bros. and Universal logos a lot. There are a couple logos for more modest companies I also love, such as: EuropaCorp Mandalay Scott Free |

There all pretty solid and have had great things over the year. I love the end whistle to more traditional Disney logo for instance. But if I had to pick. Paramount with Indiana Jones is probably my favorite still. Overall. 1. Fox- Defining Music, and always have a lot of fun. 2. MGM- Classic and simple, love the tiger. 3. Tristar |

1. 20th Century Fox 2. Universal 3. Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer (MGM) 4. Columbia 5. Paramount Lionsgate would've made the list if they still used the old one. The new one looks like its from a cheap DTV studio. |

I like Lionsgate's intro. The one with the cogs. |

I was just thinking about this yesterday. Carolco (which you noted): Almost always a good action type film would follow. I also kind of like Filmdistrict. |

Yeah, man I love Carolco. When I see and hear that intro, I just think RAMBO. It's 100% RAMBO. Love it. Film District are also kind of good. |

It's like a mix of Tristar and 20th The only point I'll add is I've Paramount was genius enough to do the morph with the Indiana Jones films, does anyone know if Raiders dears originated that style? The Burbs is the best Universal intro of all time IMO |

Thegun wrote: It's like a mix of Tristar and 20th Yeah, more Tristar than Fox but that's it. The cogs were so much better. Though I understand they wanted to get away from the "cogs = Saw" branding. |

I like the classic MGM lion. That's my favorite. I also like how Universal and Warner Brothers will sometimes edit their logo in some way to connect it to the film. And of course Fox for the classic theme. 1. MGM 2. Fox 3a. Warner Brothers 3b. Universal |
