Wow. Gone Girl sticks out like a sore thumb. Great pick, though. Kudos on adding Big Hero 6, Home Alone, Mrs. Doubtfire, Monsters, Inc., The Incredibles, Gravity, Silver Linings Playbook, and all of the Lord of the Rings'. I feel that it's a list from a fairly inexperienced film watcher. That will change, and your taste will grow too.

I really need to see Brave and I really don't need to see The Blind Side.

Into the Woods in at #12 on your all-time list so soon is a big :whaa:

Thanks for posting your list, zwackerm, and I appreciate the extra 50 you gave me.

I find myself heavily favoring the animated, family, fantasy and musical genres.

Plus i don't think you'd like Brave that much. I didn't really like it at first until I watched it a few times, and found it got better and better on each viewing.

Cool list zwackerm! So much random stuff that makes it unique. Ella Enchanted! I picture you with Key and Peele talking about how great Annie Hathaways is.

stuffp, based on your list, I think we'd make great friends. ;)

But Kiss Kiss Bang Bang being above Die Hard is your first strike (well, actually, that being above any film is unforgiveable). Overall, some good inclusions there, although I feel your list is too influenced by what is expected of a Top 100 list. I can see the action-thriller buff wanting to come out but being restrained by the IMDB-influenced culture of what is and isn't acceptable.

Anyway, #84-87 is the best lot of four in a row.

Maybe we should compile our lists into a Google doc.

I mean, your lists. I haven't done one.

If I did, mine would be mostly recent movies too.

Nice list stuffp. City of God and JFK in the top 10 is awesome. And kudos on Raise the Red Lantern.

Though - P.S I Love You is pretty random though ;p

I need to see Contact. Seems like something I would really like. Great list, thanks for posting!

Go for it BK! No need to be shamed by recent movies. Algren is more likely to criticize the choosing of token classics. :P

If we do a mass compilation then I wanna update mine first. I doubt much will be different, but there are some recent movies that need to be recognized. :)

I have the Dark Knight around the 130 mark. I haven't seen Batman Returns. Maybe I'd rank that one higher.

The term "classic" has lost all meaning. Someone said the other day that, lol, Point Break is a classic.

Lots of people love Point Break, and its being remade, so I guess it could be a classic.

You are the youth of today. If you're using the term 'classic' in that way, then it 100% has lost its meaning.

Lots of people love The Raid, and oh wait, that's also being remade. Must be a classic then. Ringu? Classic! Oldboy? Classic! Robocop? Classic! Poltergeist? Classic!

I said it's objectively better than Shrek. Subjectively, I enjoy Shrek more.

It's okay, in about 3-4 years your Top 100 will look very very different.
