Re: Top Ten 1981 david has a weakness for ambitious, but overlong and convoluted epics like reds and heaven's gate. so my logical conclusion is that bertolucci's novecento is his #1 movie of 1976.

8. Halloween II (Friday the 13th Part II was a major step up from Part 1)

Re: Top Ten 1981 I'm betting that anyone who doesn't have Jean-Jacques Beineix' Diva on their 1981 top ten list hasn't seen it. Works great as a double feature with Roman Polanski's Frantic.
