![]() Quote: The Avengers sequel has found its villain. James Spader has been cast as Ultron in Joss Whedon's sequel set for release on May 1, 2015, Marvel announced Thursday. The actor currently stars in NBC's spy drama The Blacklist and appeared on the big screen in Steven Spielberg's Lincoln. At a Comic-Con panel in July, Whedon teased the sequel's storyline. "We're doing our own version of the origin story of Ultron," he said. In addition to Iron Man, Thor, Hulk and Captain America, superheroes Quicksilver and Scarlett Witch will be joining the Avengers team for the sequel. ICM Partners and Ziffren Brittenham lawyer Melanie Cook represented Spader. http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/heat-v ... ers-617510 I am not too familiar with the character as he exists in the comics, but I dig this news. Spader is a riveting, unusual actor who deserves richer film roles. Unless, of course, this is a ruse, and he ends up with a 5-minute cameo as a tipsy British actor playing Ultron in return for prostitutes and cash. ![]() |

Pretty interesting choice but Jame Spader is not really known for his distinctive voice like Keifer Sutherland and Kelsey Grammar. |

I did a brief Google investigation: so is this a Darth Vader type deal where no actual human features are required? Just a robotic shell with a voice? |

Idk why they didn't just keep the guy who voiced Jarvis anyway since Ultron is gonna be a version of him. |

Spader has a pretty deep voice, actually. I haven't seen him for years in anything, so it must have gotten deeper. |
