Or will it go the ay of Nightmare on Elm Street 2 and Friday the 13th 2? Maybe The Dark Shape has some insight there. ;)

Because I'd like to see it. I didn't love the film, but it was certainly better than many horror remakes (indlucing the two franchises mentioned above).

Obviously, it was't financial success, pushing $100 million worldwide on a $17 million budget, but WoM doesn't appear to have been great and you can only pull off the "Most Horrifying Experience Ever"-marketing trick once, so at least domestically the sequel's bound to decrease.

I'm disappointed it didn't break out. I thought the film was great with a audience that was into it. I wouldn't mind seeing another if they want to do that and keep as gory and cheeky as the first one.

Nope.

So, I just noticed that I've started my last three threads in this forum with "So". Hmm

I enjoyed it. It was just a tad underwhelming but I'd be excited for a sequel. Really hope we get one. Would be a shame if it didn't happen.

this was better than 99% of the crap that passes as horror today (like the celebrated cabin in the woods), so yes, I'd like to see a sequel.

It is beyond me why anyone would enjoy this film more than The Cabin in the Woods. Care to explain?

this review sums up my feelings about cabin in the woods pretty well:

And what review sums up your feelings about the Evil Dead remake?

Evil Dead was awesome, but Cabin in the Woods is a new horror classic. It was in my top ten of last year. Anyone who enjoys Evil Dead more is off their rocker.

I enjoyed the remake, but it's not like it was the better than the others, too unnecessary to me. I'd rather Army of Darkness too, now that Burn Notice is done, it'd be a nice way for Cambell to return to the screen.
