 So the next Bond won't arrive before 2016 So says Variety: http://variety.com/2013/film/news/who-w ... 200488455/It also names Nicolas Winding Refn, Tom Hooper, David Yates, Shane Black, Ang lee and Morten Tyldum as directing candidates, though the newest reports suggest that Sony and MGM are willing to wait for Mendes, which is hardly surprising, given that the film is apparently three years away. Seriously, though...why the long wait again? I understand that, in a way, the four-year-wait helped Skyfall a lot because it let audiences forget A Quantum of Solace and at the same time, allowed for a reboot within a reboot. But I am not sure they can get away with it agan. Besides, with WoM so good for Skyfall, it's not wise to wait that long. _________________The greatest thing on earth is to love and to be loved in return!

I admire him sticking to what he likes to do instead of devoting himself to two sequels in the franchise. Don't get me wrong, I LOVED Skyfall and I would love for Mendes to come back, but I respect his decision very much.
