So says Variety:

http://variety.com/2013/film/news/who-w ... 200488455/

It also names Nicolas Winding Refn, Tom Hooper, David Yates, Shane Black, Ang lee and Morten Tyldum as directing candidates, though the newest reports suggest that Sony and MGM are willing to wait for Mendes, which is hardly surprising, given that the film is apparently three years away.

Seriously, though...why the long wait again? I understand that, in a way, the four-year-wait helped Skyfall a lot because it let audiences forget A Quantum of Solace and at the same time, allowed for a reboot within a reboot. But I am not sure they can get away with it agan. Besides, with WoM so good for Skyfall, it's not wise to wait that long.

Ah yes, a Tom Hooper Bond. The villain will obviously be Dutch.

As we just witnessed with Star Trek, a 4-year wait can be dangerous at the box office. We'll see.

Apparently Mendes is returning for two more Bonds? Great news.

Why doesn't Mendes just adjust His schedule? They have a list of amazing directors who probably can work within their timeframe but instead they want to wait forever for Mendes to direct plays and crap. C'mon...

Why shouldn't he? I admire him sticking to what he likes to do instead of devoting himself to two sequels in the franchise.

Don't get me wrong, I LOVED Skyfall and I would love for Mendes to come back, but I respect his decision very much. If they want to wait, it's their problem, not Mendes'

So Craig made 3 Bond movies. Hmm, at least he beat Dalton.

Craig will make two more, I am sure abozt that. He's out then.

Honestly, though, no matter what you personally think of Skyfall, it will be a very tough act to follow.
