Oblivion. Without question. It plays before everything.

Amen to that.

Also, the presence of that Watch trailer before practically every film I saw last summer might as well be the standard for movie preview banality.

LOL I had a dream I went to the movies last night and the Oblivion trailer played. :P

Let's bump this thread up.

Currently it's Runner Runner and Captain Phillips. So sick of these!

Runner Runner trailer is uggh. And although I'm excited for it I'm sick of the Thor trailer being attached to everything I see.

I have never seen the Runner Runner trailer in theatres.

I was very tired of the trailer for The World's End before it came out.

I don't even know what Runner Runner is. :P I have only seen the Captain Phillips trailer a couple times and don't mind seeing it, I think it looks really good.

August: Orange County's trailer was so terrible at The World's End. I really hope I never see it again.

Your taste is rather juvenile. ;)

Maybe, in general. Not in this case though. I really don't see how anybody can think that looked good unless you're a huge fan of Streep and Roberts. It looks like the ultimate menopause movie.

Captain Phillips - - yow!

I am excited for Captain Phillips because Greengrass is one of my favorite contemporary directors (I wrote the longest paper of my university career on him, in fact), but the fact I just saw the superb Danish drama A Hijacking reduces the novelty.

It's based on an extremely acclaimed play.

Nah I mean that there isn't any life coming out of this womb.

To Libs, that does make some sense as to why the trailer is so poor. It is hard to advertise something like this, and if there is already a built in fan base then I guess you don't really need to. Just please put it in front of stuff like The Butler, and don't bum me out before a comedy. I can watch any number of channels to see old women getting upset at each other and teenagers thinking their lives are unfair.

The human condition bores Flava'd.

Delivery Man! Yes! I don't think it looks very good at all so seeing it once was enough, but I've probably seen it four or five times. Really annoying.

Though I understand the reason why it is done, I hate when trailers for independent and/or art-house friendly films are overloaded with critical quotes. There is a new trailer for Inside Llewyn Davis, and I saw it twice day, once before 12 Years a Slave and then before The Counselor. I swear, every five to ten seconds, the trailer cuts to a three-, four-, or five-sentence long critical quote. It becomes headache inducing trying to read each one before it leaves the screen. Christ, why not just cut an hour-long trailer and let every word Manohla Dargis has ever typed regarding the Coens scroll across the screen?

Again, I understand conveying prestige is a part of drawing an upscale adult audience to a theatre, but I believe many smaller films' trailers end up failing to convey other essential factors, such as storyline and style, in their mad rush to include as many film-festival laurels and quotes as they can.

Is that new trailer online? I've seen so many different trailers cut for that film.

This is also true of Here Comes the Devil, which I watched today and thought the same.

The Wish I Was Here trailer is now a candidate for me. I have seen it so many times. The various gags and bits have become grating for me. "Hairy balls!" Grumpy rabbi. "I need you to rally with me!"

The new Shins song is nice, though.

^ya, I'm excited for the movie and love Garden State but the trailer is eyeroll worthy, especially the last seconds of voiceover.

I'm glad I won't see that Expendables teaser anymore I hope.

Annie. I see it almost every weekend and there's still 5 months left until it's released, sigh. One would think it's coming out in a few weeks or a month.

It doesn't look bad, I may see it, but so tired of seeing the trailer (and often first look before the trailer) every weekend.

I really don't go to enough movies to be annoyed by a trailer. The Earth to Echo tv spots are a little rough on me, though.
