The "I'm Not Watching The Dark Knight Rises" Club
As per my earlier announcement, I am opening the "I'm Not Watching The Dark Knight Rises" Club for membership! I, of course, will be a charter member - - there's no way I will be wasting my time on this film after the juvenile crapfest that was The Dark Knight - - and I encourage all my fellow KJer's to join me and fight the hype-notism onslaught which has befallen us this sorry summer. Welcome members! ________________________________________________ Membership List- Bradley Witherberry - tina_als_girl - GuybrushX McMurphy - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Re: The "I'm Not Watching The Dark Knight Rises" Club
Bradley, you should've started an "I'm not watching Shame" club or an "I'm not watching Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy" club. You would've had loads of people to hang out with.

I just dropped boiling oil in my eyes by accident, so no I won't be watching TDKR. I'll be hearing it though.

"Hypenotism" sounds like the name of a sad, failed rapper.
Maybe that's what Bradley Witherberry actually is, y'all. How funny would that be.
I hope he has some ridiculous catchphrase ala "pop pop" like Magnitude on Community.

Re: The "I'm Not Watching The Dark Knight Rises" Club
Refusing to watch a film that, by all accounts, appears to be excellent? To prove what? That you're different? That you're cooler than we are? Super hipster or something?
Bradley reminds me of those preachers who rail against homosexuality and then get caught in a gay bathhouse. I imagine him at home, locking the doors, pulling the shades, and loading up his DVDs of all the films he claims to hate.

Bradley is the same person who once bemoaned that Little Fockers' somewhat disappointing box office performance was because it, and I quote, "wasn't a safe, homogenized product designed for the masses." If any movie in the history of cinema exists that IS a safe, homogenized product designed for the masses, it's Little Fockers. He's clearly some variety of Crazy Troll but I think the consensus is that his antics have become boring.

It's not a bad series but is overcompensating for those 90s batsuit nipples. We get it, you're a he-man Batman, none of that Schumacher camp for you! Now stop trying so hard.

Re: The "I'm Not Watching The Dark Knight Rises" Club
I'm in!
I was bored with most of Batman Begins, haven't seen TDK (but eventually will solely to see Ledger's Joker), and not interested in this.
My favorite incarnations of Batman are the '60s show and Burton's two movies (though I believe George Clooney as Bruce Wayne way more than I do Michael Keaton).
I'm just not much into DC, I guess. And when I am, it's the more campy stuff like '60s Batman or Lois & Clark.
So, yeah, I'm definitely in this club. Just not feelin' it.
PS: Also, just not really a fan of Nolan in general. I nearly fell asleep of boredom during Inception, thought Memento was just okay, and preferred The Illusionist over The Prestige. Of course, also not a big fan of either DiCaprio or Bale, so... Yeah, I'm in a minority.

Re: The "I'm Not Watching The Dark Knight Rises" Club
I might catch it as a late night re-run on TV a couple of years from now. Or maybe not even that. Currently, I don't really have any interest in seeing it.
