I'm almost a bit surprised but I enjoyed the first so it's cool they're making another. Hopefully it will be even better.

It's not like I'm dying for a Huntsman sequel in the Snow White world. What's the point? Maybe a dwarves sequel instead.

It's not like I'm some big fan of hers :P. I just don't think she's a terrible actress. Though I'll admit for the most part I thought her performance in Snow White was basically the same as her other performances. And I do find her to be a bit of a weirdo after seeing her on the MTV Movie Awards. ;)

I loved the first and would welcome a sequel, especially since it was supposed to be the first of a trilogy.

I really don't think that WoM for the first movie is any good. I don't see the second film even matching the first domesically, let alone outgrossing it. Shouldn't make more than $120-130 million. If they want to get to a third movie, they'll need to reduce the budget for the second.

I don't even want to think aboit what story they will come up with. It will be hilarious(ly bad) I bet.

I don't see why this is happening. There's no real demand or purpose for it, the story is pretty much concluded, what happens next? The film wasn't great (though fine) and has mixed to solid wom. It will almost certainly decrease, idk, I'd rather they just start some new original fantasy universe personally, rather than carrying on an already rehashed story.

I'm skipping it unless Theron comes back. Easily the best thing about the original.

But either way, I think it'll focus on the love triangle.

It is supposed to just focus on the Huntsman.

That said, I don't think there will be much interest. Even with 3D, it might open below $50 milion.

I agree. But the film focusing on the Huntsman would be a nice shift. Less Stewart would definitely be also a step in the right direction :)

The project doesn't feel right.

The first film's numbers are solid, but not HUGE, and it's hardly a word-of-mouth sensation. Note the sixty percent drop.

And the first also plays as a standalone movie through and through:

Spoiler: show
The evil queen dies. Snow White becomes ruler of the land. Cut and dry.

If the idea is to emphasize the Huntsman, do they see this becoming an Indiana Jones type series? Where each new film shows the Huntsman on a new mystical adventure? A strange franchise fate for the rare summer tentpole release centered largely on female characters and concerns.

At times well enough alone is well enough alone. I appreciate Tim Burton in this regard. You didn't see him rushing out Alice in Wonderland 2: The Hatter Returns the Monday after the first film opened.

Snow White and the Seven Bombs. It sums up to that.

Stewart got caught fucking the director. No wonder they were so eager to make a sequel.

Hehe, apparently Rupert Sanders' wife forbids him to direct the Snow White sequel.

They should just scrap the film...

The Stewart movie with the director of Crazy Heart has the sound of a flop.

Word on the street is that it's Ashton Kutcher's, not Matthew Vaughn's. Variety let it slip that the father was an actor who was an ex of hers.

They should just make a prequel with Theron's evil queen character and get rid of Stewart and Sanders.
