 Think Like A Homophobe
I had been interested in seeing Think Like A Man once it came out on Blu-ray as I thought it looked cute, but have been turned off from seeing it at all. I read a comment on Deadline Hollywood about it being anti-gay. Here's the comment by a poster on Deadline: "Don’t see it if you are easily offended, a lot of jokes against whites and gays, and numerous uses of the slang ‘n-gga’ and ‘g-ddamn’… I was a little surprised at the PG-13."Then I did a Google search seeing if anyone else was talking about it and came across a couple of instances of it being mentioned. http://www.renwl.org/act-like-a-man-gaw ... how/17346/http://bgclive.com/board/viewtopic.php?t=816185&pgi=&p= I guess if Steve Harvey is apparently homophobic then it's no surprise his movie is too. Why does acting like a man have to mean being a homophobe?

 Re: Think Like A Homophobe
I'd be interested in more urban films if they released better ones. Most of the ones released seem to be by Tyler Perry. I have seen some of his movies. Think Like A Man looked enjoyable but if it's anti-gay I really don't feel like watching/supporting it. I'm very interested in seeing Pariah. Wish Focus Features hadn't screwed up the release of that film. Could have done much better than it did but releasing it towards the end of awards season was a stupid idea.

 Re: Think Like A Homophobe
A lot of jokes against whites? I'm definitely not seeing it then. Stop Caucasianphobia!

Come on, it's not great filmmaking, but neither is most mainstream shit.

Exactly. If they don't know how to behave, and feel OK offending others, they get their ass kicked, so they'll think next time before opening their rotten mouths.

 Re: Think Like A Homophobe
Mike once called 50 Cent a nigger after he made a homophobic comment in the press.
