Re: Everyone hated it, but you liked it? Oh, and The Village is Shyamalan's best movie by far. His masterpiece. Incredibly effective as a thriller, as a romance, and even as a piece of social commentary. Roger Deakins and James Newton Howard at the peak of their powers in their respective fields.
Sad so many people hate it.

Signs hasn't aged especially well, though. It's never as fun or thrilling on DVD as it was the first time in the theatre.

I never claimed The Whole Ten Yards is a good movie, nor would I. It's very much a bad movie, but in its awfulness I found a lot more to enjoy than many other movies that have much more positive reputations. I would honestly prefer to watch it again over, say, The Reader.
