http://www.accesshollywood.com/news/lia ... icle_46384 Quote: LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- Don’t look for Liam Neeson’s name in “The Hangover Part II’s” credits – the perrenial leading man’s cameo has been cut from the upcoming raucous comedy, according to Variety. Neeson had filmed scenes as a tattoo artist for the Bangkok-based sequel, but his appearance was recently edited out after the film’s director, Todd Phillips, was forced to do reshoots and the veteran actor was unavailable due to scheduling conflicts, Phillips told the mag. The former “Taken” star was replaced by Nick Cassavetes – director of “The Notebook,” Variety reports. “We were in a complete time crunch so I called up Nick and asked if he would do the part,” Phillips explained. “He came in and crushed it and that is the scene that you will ultimately see in the film. [I’m excited for everyone] to see the film. It turned out great.” A rep for Warner Bros. was not immediately available for comment on the casting news when contacted by Access Hollywood on Saturday. |

I can't believe they went from Gibson to Neeson to...the dude who directed Unhook the Stars and The Notebook. |

Cassavetes is more famous for being John Cassavetes son than anything else. Which is still meaningless in terms of the mainstream (and a Jesse Dylan-esque apple fall, too). |

He was hilarious on Entourage, but extremely disappointed Neeson or Gibson couldn't do it. |

I think Cassavates, while random, could just cut loose and be a weird random cameo that's quite funny. I think it has more potential than Neeson whom I just can't see being very amusing. |

I recall Gibson played a tatoo artist in a cameo in the 1997 film Father's Day. |

Gibson would've been a much better cameo given his personal life as of lately.. Hell, I'd even like to see Charlie Sheen cameo in it which I'm surprised they didn't contact his Rep about a part in this?? One does wonder however, if the Neeson shot will somehow turn up down the road as a Deleted Scene of sorts on one of many editions of The HANGOVER 2 Blu-Ray and DVD will see??? ![]() |
