But again, I also don't understand why these films even have to be compared in the first place. They're completely different and share nothing in common, aside from being released in consecutive weeks. Also, Inception is PG-13 and Predators is R. Exactly how much are you expecting Predators to make? Because there were only two movies released with an R rating in 2009 (The Hangover, Inglourious Basterds) that exceeded $120M in gross...and the other 23 were all PG-13 or lower. |

Still never understood all the love for Inglorious Basterds other than Tarrantino being involved and the HANGOVER was ludicrous in every way shape and form and the moviegoers stupid enough to pump $$$$ in to the movie making what it did should be ashamed of themselves.. Now the thing with PREDATORS is this: It looks exciting and looks like what a Summer action movie, R-Rated or not, should be.. As for the rating?? I think alot of cinemas now really don't enforce that age restriction crap with R-Rated movies as much as you folks think and it won't hurt PREDATORS to say the least... If moviegoers under the age of 17 want to see it, they will... |

The Predators reviews are surprising indeed. However it should be noted who has posted reviews so far: Fan the Fire, Filmink, Cinema Autopsy, and two from Urban Cinefile. Inception, on the other hand, has reviews from Variety, Box Office, and Hollywood Reporter (as well as Chud, Cinematical, and HitFlix) So when Predators starts getting huge reviews from the "top critics" then that will be something to really pay attention to. But as it is, I have seen many times films open with 100 only to drop to less than 50. |

64% at RT. Of course the average grade of 5.8/10 is not great, but for this movie the outcome is way way better than most expected. |

I really don't know why anyone expected it to be really bad.. It's almost coming off like you sort of wanted it to fail just so you could whip shit on it like the others and surprisingly, it was damn good now wasn't it??? Then I got to thinking: I remember seeing the 1987 PREDATOR at the theatre when it came out and to my recollection(and I do have a very good memory) I don't think the movie was really all that received well itself back then, but you sort of never would've known based on how the audience ws back in that day.. Thing of it is, is of course we didn't have the internet and the media we have now back then, all this YOUTUBE bullshit to showcase anyones opinion, but after seeing this new movie last night, I think it's every damn bit as good as the original movie.. Makes me wonder if most of you enjoyed PREDATOR for Schwartzeneggers inclusion more than the movie itself the way you all go on and on about him.. |

You couldn't even make out the PREDALIEN hardly cause the FX blew.. At least AVP had Paul W.S Anderson at the helm and at least the underground pyramid was a cool concept.. |
