doubt it unless they do some like "special edition" version of the Blu-Ray for BB/TDK. The only reason why the TDK one was released was because it was put on the BB Blu-Ray.


Would be nice if they did a new transfer on TDK. The non-IMAX footage looks like crap because they used the IMAX DMR print, so the 35mm stuff was heavily processed (Digital Noise Reduction plus Edge Enhancement) to make it look better on IMAX screens. Problem is it makes the film look worse on Blu-ray. Plus Batman Begins has always had a mediocre transfer and needs to be rescanned. It also needs a higher bit rate encode. But odds are they won't do jack squat to improve the video quality of either film, even though they should. Hopefully the next one won't suffer from the same problems. Transformers 2 is an example of how IMAX 70mm plus regular 35mm should be handled for Blu-ray. You use two different sources, not the IMAX DMR print. After some of the criticism about TDK's transfer, I wonder if they'll make that mistake again.
