What I find interesting is that when they have a pic of Scarlett Johannson on the cover of EW showing sex appeal, your all quick to cry about that, but Hathaway shows off her big ass in these toys and your all fine with it.. :whistle:

A prime example of Mr. Nolan's cinematic "realism" at work.

What we have here is a stealth uniform with cheap-looking, klunky, goggled "kitten ears." That mask underneath isn't too stylish either.

Awright awready! Time to say it...I'm glad this is Nolan's final Bat-film. If these characterizations are any indication of what direction any further episodes might take, then it's best he walk away. As someone said, this whole "realism" kick is really wrong-headed. Give us a little of the old pizzazz we found in all those years of faithful comic book reading. I'm afraid that, based on the portrayal of Selina Kyle (Not Catwoman. SELINA KYLE!)from what I see of Ms Hathaway, it'll take a whole lotta acting chops that I don't think she's got to be convinicing in the role. I don't see Bane, as played by Mr Hardy, as the Huge, monstrously powerful being who snapped Batman's spine like a twig in the comic book version! The costuming doesn't work, the choice of actors seems weak and, as much as I wish it were otherwise, we may all find ourselves wishing someone with more imagination had taken on this story. Sorry folks but, despite the fact that I loved the first two Nolan films, I don't hold out much hope for this one.


All I can say is, OUCH.. Can this get any worse before July 20th hits??? And you all really think this movie is going to beat The AVENGERS with as much negativity as this is receiving?? :funny:

Well if it isn't the goofy action figures, it's going to be a 2nd rate villain no one can understand with a BATMAN costume that's beginning to morph into a Schumacher BATMAN costume.. What's Nolan channelling with Schumacher in these designs???

An interview with Tom Hardy and how he says it basically sucked playing BANE to the point where he never took the role or character home with him and wearing the mask was difficult and annoying.. Gee?? What a fan he is.. And you Nolan lovers worship this guy??? :funny:

Some people can understand Bane and some people can't. As many of you are aware, this resulted in some mildly annoying internet debate about whether Bane's voice would be tweaked in post-production [it will not]. Apparently, Tom Hardy shares our annoyance with the mask but for him, it was because he was the one that actually had to wear it. However, based on a few words from the actor, the mask didn't bother him too much. In fact, Hardy stated that eventually he got used to wearing the super-tight mask while filming The Dark Knight Rises.

Speaking at the premiere of, This Means War, Tom said: "Bane's mask is tight, actually. I got used to it, but you get used to anything really, in time."

The described Bane as "brutal" and "heavy-handed", but went on to say that he didn't remain in character for the duration of filming for TDKR and was able to separate himself from the role.

"I didn't get into a dark place at all. A lot of dark characters are easy to have distance from, it's something I feel comfortable with, I suppose."

He's annoyed with having to wear the stupid thing, but catches himself by saving face with the whole "It didn't bother me too much" line after he just said it was annoying.. Nice one Tom.. :roll: That a way to put on the brave face for the fans in admitting deep down that it blew.. :funny:

I love how as soon as MARVEL released the 10 second clip of the SUPER BOWL spot, the TDKR, Nolan lovers had to BUMP this thread to make sure there's still interest in this movie knowing deep down this movie is going to get clobbered this summer, MARVEL style.. :funny:

Precisely why TDKR will not even come close to TDK Domestic total and why the AVENGERS is going to murder this movie to the point where WB will wish they had released TDKR in 2013 instead of this summer..
