1. Inglourious Basterds
2. (500) Days of Summer
3. Star Trek
4. Up
5. Away We Go
6. Funny People
7. Observe and Report
8. Knowing
9. The Hangover
10. District 9

I saw it again on Sunday and I had the same reaction I did on Friday. As soon as it was over I wanted to see it again immediately. Although I love/loved Summer, Inglourious Basterds is just a fucking awesome movie going experience. The dialog, Christoph Waltz, the bar shootout, Bowie (I could watch that scene over and over again), any scene involving a table, the subtle camera movements (especially during the first scene when Tarantino essentially flips the characters around thanks to one camera move...if that makes any sense),
Spoiler: show
Hitler getting his face blown apart
, the music, etc. It's just a fantastic movie.

A Perfect Score
1) (500) days of Summer
5/5
2) 12
3) Coraline
4) Moon
5) Star Trek
6) Up
7) District 9
8) Bruno
9) Inglorious Basterds
10) Away We Go

Honorable Mention: Watchmen
I have now eliminated my 4/5 options, I have seen 9 films that I consider "magnificient" and get a 5/5 and 1 that exceeds this with a perfect score.
Sad to see Confessions go, still probably the most underrated flick of the year.

Exactly. If they don't know how to behave, and feel OK offending others, they get their ass kicked, so they'll think next time before opening their rotten mouths.

IB is better on a second view, however it only passes up Bruno in my re-rankings. It is still not as great as some make it out to be, imo.

Nein.

I loved 500 and thought IB okay. I can't get over the fact QT had to steal from KB. Homage to himself?

he stole parts of the score but what else was stolen?
I thought it was pretty separate despite it being basically the same genre bending experience.

Score and had to use the intro style for the DVAS. Why do that? That annoyed me so much.

Not saying I didn't like IB, it just bugged me that he had to rip his own film.
