http://boxofficemojo.com/yearly/ The number of releases more than doubled? REALLY? Or is this just the number of films BOM has in its database? Anyone know the number of films released in those years? |

Box Office Mojo just doesn't have complete listings. The earlier you go back, the less and less they have until you reach 1979 and realise that they have nothing. When the BOM Forums were still around, I instigated compiling a 1979 Yearly List and it was pretty long after about 2 weeks of everyone searching. It is possible to make these yearly lists longer, but BOM is lazy and they only have one guy now. |

Yeah if anything, the amount probably lessened, as it always does. |
