Dakota Fanning might be in "Twilight" sequel "New Moon"
http://www.bloody-disgusting.com/news/15031Quote: If she doesn't look ridiculous enough in PUSH (hitting theaters next month), star Dakota Fanning might be growing some fangs for Robert Pattinson as she's rumored to be joining the cast of NEW MOON, the second TWILIGHT adaptation from Summit Entertainment, reports Eonline. “There were no auditions,†a source reveals. “They just offered it to her outright, and now they’re in negotiations. They’ve been going back and forth.†In the film hitting theaters November 20th, Fanning would play Jane, a member of Italy’s Volturi, the most deadly group of bloodsucking killers in author Stephenie Meyer’s best-selling series. Director Chris Weitz is expected to start shooting MOON in March in the U.S. and Italy.

She's always had sort of a creepy vampire like undercurrent to her. Good choice if it's true

Since they've got real actors and a real director this time...there's a good chance it'll be a lot better than the shitstorm debacle that Twilight was.

I got halfway through Twilight. I'm trying to think of terrible books that were made good by the films.

I was forced to watch the movie, and it was excruciatingly bad. If the sequel gets great reviews and everyone says how much it improved, I MIGHT watch it. Otherwise, no.

Not sure about Dakota Fanning playing Jane. I can see it working, but I can see her missing big time.
Dunno. Fanning playing a sadist vampire? Maybe.

Quote: Jamie Campbell-Bower played Anthony in Tim Burton’s Sweeney Todd and has now found himself under the watchful eye of many fangirls as BBC News got the actor to spill the beans on his involvement in The Twilight Saga: New Moon. Campbell-Bower has revealed he will play Volturi leader Caius saying it is “very exciting†and “Shooting has already started, and I’m going over in June.†He had not heard of the character and admits, “I hadn’t read the books before. But it’s a great thing to be a part of, and it did very well last year.†The Brit actor goes on to say he knows of additional casting but can’t name names outside of saying the rumors online are all false. He does appear to be ready for the spotlight although he seems to know where most of it will be shining, “I doubt I’ll get the same sort of adulation as Robert - but it’s always nice when people recognise you for your work.†New Moon is currently set for release on November 20 from Summit with Chris Weitz directing. Campbell-Bower joins a cast made up of Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, Taylor Lautner, Jackson Rathbone, Dakota Fanning, Chaske Spencer, Bronson Pelletier, Alex Meraz, Kiowa Gordon and Tyson Houseman. http://www.ropeofsilicon.com/article/sw ... s-new-moon
