"Variety is reporting the rumor that Emily Blunt is in talks to play Natasha Romanoff in Iron Man 2. Romanoff is a Soviet super spy who doubles as Black Widow, a beauty in a skintight black costume that is enhanced by high-tech weaponry. She would join the previously-announced villains Mickey Rourke and Sam Rockwell in the sequel. Again directed by Jon Favreau, the Marvel Studios film sees the return of Robert Downey Jr. and Gwyneth Paltrow, while Don Cheadle is replacing Terrence Howard. Blunt's credits include The Devil Wears Prada, The Jane Austen Book Club and Charlie Wilson's War. She also stars in The Wolfman, coming to theaters in November." I like her a lot. She's gonna have to work on her Russian accent, but I'm sure she can do it. There was a poll awhile back pitting her against Amy Adams. I like them both, both Blunt is better. I was suprised that not many voted for her. |

this cast is getting too big. Three villains wasn't the charm for Spidey, so I doubt people are gonna be happy about all these new characters getting so little screentime. |

If Rourke is playing Crimson Dynamo, I don't think it's a good idea. It's basically another guy in a metal suit. That's what we got for a villain in the first film. |

I find Emily Blunt hotter than Scarlett. In terms of acting, I don't suppose it really matters, but it's obviously really difficult to see anyone else playing BW after almost a decade of ScarJo. |

She would have been fine in either role. That's like looking at Kurt Russell as Han Solo or Nolte or Seleck screen-tests for Indiana Jones. Or even James Brolin as Bond or Eric Stoltz as Marty McFly in the 80s. I think ScarJo really did a great job though so it's doesn't really hit a "what could have been" type of deal. She made the right choice |
