Well, it's based on a Phillip K. Dick novel, and while l haven't read it personally, l've heard it's one of his best. So l kinda doubt the story itself is generic and boring. But even if that's the case, l'd definitely see it for Linklater and the animation. l love Waking Life. A lot.

Canadian movie?! Nice try, baba, but there's no such thing. Canadian movies are just something your mother tells you about in an effort to keep you under control. As in, "You be good, or the Canadian movie will come in the night and steal your eyes!!".

I was browsing through yahoo and saw this http://movies.yahoo.com/movies/feature/ ... arkly.html I had forgotten about this movie but I think the trailer looks great and the animation seems even better than in Waking Life. BTW is it just me or does that image of Winona Ryder look like Brooke Shields.

Well c'mon guys, this is Richard Linklater we're talking about, let's see what he can do. Yeah, it's really not a great bunch of actors though. But this is just the teaser.

Paycheck, Impostor, Screamers... those all stink. Don't give this film a slide simply because it's based on a Dick story. I sorta liked Waking Life, too, but it was ridiculously pretentious.

Looks pretty interesting, even though I have absolutely no clue what the plot is from watching the trailer. The cast isn't that bad. Ryder and Downey Jr. are top banana - or at least were before their problems took the limelight away from their work. Keanu Reeves ain't that bad in this kind of role and Woody Harrelson was the bomb in Kingpin, yo.
