And rightfully so.. Paul"The Man" Anderson is a consummate director that should get more appreciation than what he does... On another forum I was on, they had a Q/A Session with Uwe Boll, another underrated director that's starting out, and was given a name and what he thought of them.. Paul "The Man" Anderson's name came up and Uwe Boll complimented him by saying he was a "Solid Action Director" which is totally true after the coolness that was AVP... It should be interesting to see what "The Man" can do with this movie and how far he has come with his skills as a Director.. =D>

I wonder what it is called? Could it be the forth Rambo movie, as that will obviously about terrorists? Is he helping with direction or acting?

These are all questions i'd like answered....

Doesn't look like Stallone is in it, just at one time attached. Spielberg was at one time attached to Harry Potter, so much for attachment.

Paul W.S. Anderson, the director behind the successful "Resident Evil" franchise, has signed to shoot the terrorist thriller Man With the Football.

The Hollywood Reporter says the Columbia Pictures film, which revolves around a group of terrorists who steal the U.S. president's "football" -- the briefcase containing computer and telecommunications equipment that can launch a nuclear strike -- has been floating around the studio system for years.

The project's producer, Neal Moritz, first brought screenwriter John Pogue's script to Morgan Creek Productions in 1994. At one point, Sylvester Stallone was attached to star. Columbia acquired the rights in 2003.

Floating around for years, so I guess it's not the hottest script at this point?

According to things I've read and watched on the History channel, those codes are changed daily in the football? All the equiptment is rendered usless without proper clearance. :-k

Still, I'm a sucker for terrorists.

Bring on baba.

Not to forget Mortal Kombat (Or is GULP Mortal Kombat :-k )

He fucked up Resident Evil and Alien (Event Horizon was ok thought)

Sly is cool and I wish he will have a hit. But Director and plot dont sound promising so far.

You sure Paul Anderson isnt making a Rambo Vs Rocky movie instead?
I wonder how Paul Thomas Anderson feels about sharing the same name as Paul Anderson. One is a film genius and ones a hack

Don't you mean Paul "The Woman" Anderson? I'll forgive him for AvP, and have a clear mind seeing his next film. And Algren, just because I know Sly is box office poison, doesn't mean I don't like him. He is kinda cool, in a big, dumb oaf kind of way.

I haven't seen either either Alone in the Dark or House of the Dead (thankfully), but just from this Uwe Boll's reputation I find "underrated" funny. Hee! I mean, what a great honor to be called a "solid action director" from what is apparently one of the least talented people working in movies today!

This reminds me of the Mandlebaum episode of Seinfeld. Nothing like wrinkly old muscles.

Can you imagine the damage Stallone is going to do to his health straining to get in shape?

Muscle turns to flab at an old age not necessarly fat. Just think of the old geezers in their 60s running around in the park and you see their arm flab bounce around. Can you imagine Stallone with his C cup size moobs playing an action hero?

BKB, the master of comprehension!

It just says Sly was attached to star at one point, a long time ago. That doesn't mean he will be in Anderson's movie. Jesus! #-o

Sly had some nice stuff with Rambo, Rocky and Cliffhanger. I think he was a perfect cast for those movie.
