The Matrix was a brilliant and unique movie that didn't need 2 other movies and only further complicated something that didn't need further explaining and as a result, killed it.. Sure the box office numbers were high for the 2nd film and how could it not be after the amount of overhype this movie produced that looking back on it, I'd be willing to bet that the fans that hyped the holy hell out of this movie wish they would've gotten a refund or that the sequels were not made at all.. :-k

Quite frankly, the Matrix was a good sci-fi movie, but nothing exceptional. The characters were kinda dull, and there didn't seem to be much to be said about this world or these characters. I have no idea why people were so hearded in on the sequels, with some even proclaiming it was the "Star Wars of this generation" long before the sequels came out. :oops:

Matrix fans proved to be fair weather fans, as they slinked off in shame after Reloaded shell shocked them. At first they were in such denial, that they were trying to convince everybody that you have to see it again, and THEN you would like it , but they finally gave up the ghost on that one.

I swear, BKB and I were the only two people in the world who had the guts and the foresight to dare to look at the upcoming sequels as something other than the second coming of Christ. :Drink:
