Oliver Stone

Clint Eastwood
Edit **Kevin Costner, can't believe I forgot him. I know a lot of you will say The Postman, but Dances with Wolves is shere genius.
--Would say David Fincher, but needs more movies than Se7en and Fight Club\

I would just like to add that Denzel Washington seemed to show a really good eye in Antawn Fisher, would like to see him try more often at directing.

No specifics, although I tend to really enjoy most of Spielberg, Kurosawa, Kubrick, Weir and I tend to lean towards Ridley Scott.

Almost all other directors have majorly disappointed me at certain parts of their careers. Even Spielberg has I guess too.

All directors, no matter how talented, are capable of horrible film.

PT Anderson is phenominal with a short list of film (like Tarintino), but maybe its just me but Punch-Drunk Love is no where near Boogie Nights or Magnolia. However, where has he gone?

I actually thought Punch Drunk Love was as good as Boogie Nights, Magnolia, and Sydney. Certainly the scope is much smaller but it's still an incredible film.

Paul is a bit like early Francis Ford, he sits back and watches for awhile. Then he unleashes a masterpiece when no one is expecting it.

I completely forgot Spike Jonez, and I could not just my post, because most of you have missed him.

I would also just like to add that I want to add Francis Ford Coppola, but I want to see his new film in his heed, Megaopolis, I believe before I add him in there to see if he still has it.

Not really. I love Adam Spiegel the music video director. I've yet to be as amazed at his feature work.

I agree about Coppola.
