While doing the promo rounds for his new action thriller Hostage in London, Bruce Willis told the BBC that a fourth "Die Hard" movie is moving ahead.

"'Die Hard 4.0' is being written as we speak, and if all goes well we'll be shooting it in Autumn on the east coast of the United States."

As he previously said, he added that "John McClane has retired as a cop, and that's all that Fox have allowed me to tell you about it."

If it's as good as Die Hard 3 I'm sure it will be good. The only one in the series I didn't like was Die Hard 2: Die Harder 6/10 (C+)

Old-age-heroics! I can't wait!

"Five nefarious-yet-politically-correct terrorists are searching for a fabled family inheritance to help fund their construction of WMDs. Their search brings them to Palm Dales Retirement Home where an incontinent, overweight and crippled John McClane now resides. After what should have been a routine kidnapping turns into a bloody hostage situation, the only thing standing between America and total destruction is a flatulent old man who can barely squeeze his flabby gut into the overhead ventilation shafts."

Here's hoping they manage to combine the previous installments' pithy one-liners with comical geriatric concerns.

"Yippeekay-oi-vey!! My back!!!"

Forget it.. I mean you've got to be kidding me??? :-k What's it called??? DIE HARD:DIE ALREADY??? :-k There's only so many times you can keep having the same character run into the wrong place at the wrong time angle and it worked for the first 2 movies, but the 3rd one sucked and now a 4th one??? Come on Bruce.. I'd rather see you Reunite with Cybil Sheppard for a MOONLIGHTING Reunion or something than this...

Die Hard in the Mall of America: Retiree John McClane goes to his regular morning mallwalking with the rest of his local senior citizen center – only to find that terrorists have taken over the world’s biggest mall! Can McClane save the Mall without destroying the Dipping Dots stand?

Die Hard in an MRI: After taking a bad fall in the bathroom, where he lay for hours, unable to get up, John McClane gets an MRI – only to find that the MRI machine has been taken over by terrorists!

Die Hard at Bingo – This one pretty much explains itself

Die Hard in Cyberspace – Hey, maybe there’s a reason it’s called 4.0. John McClane gets a newfangled computing machine and somehow finds himself sucked into the world of the Master Control Program – which has been taken over by terrorists! In this one McClane must team up with Jeff Bridges, very unfortunately stuffed into one of those glowing suits.

Die Hard gets Punk’d – John McClane takes his kids to the MTV studios in Times Square, which has been taken over by terrorists – led by Ashton Kutcher!

I don't support any of it and it's an example of Hollywood beating a good thing to death..

TFB. I say, throw the old men out on the street to rot. They've been doing that to women over 40 for thousands of years, let the men see what it's like. :-({|=

Yeh true, Hollywood are beating this thing to death...they should start new franchises...its not too hard, Bourne did it...xXx was doing it, until Ice Cube took the role...

The Die Hard films are all very entertaining

THE FIRST WAS ESPECIALLY INFLUENTIAL WITH GREAT ACTION SCENES AND THE GENIUS ALAN RICKMAN

They need to have a new sidekick for Willis in this one :-k

I think Samuel L Jackson would still be a good link for a sidekick.

i'm agree with new franchise, but can hollywood do that in these days? just take a look. e.g. Novel Adaptation, comic adaptataion, remake, sequels, etc.

where are the creativity have gone? ](*,) ](*,)

Die Hard was a creative original action story at its time. =D>
