I recently watched The Punisher (2004) and it was brilliant, quite considerably better than the 1989 version. I was suprised also.The acting in the 89' version was, expectedly so too, very eighties and wooden...whereas the acting in the new one was brilliant, and it kept to the comic strip so well too. They are both good, but the 2004 film excels where the 89' version doesn't.

The director of the 2004 version say that Thomas Jane was born to play the Punisher, i somewhat agree, i think he was superb, he keeps (although not his choice) his speech to a minimum, his face is worn, used and gritty, amazing. Dolph was too muscular, in an athletic way, Jane fits is superbly, he is muscly where it matters!!

So, i put it to you, who is the better Punisher?
