http://www.rottentomatoes.com/vine/show ... p?t=633694 This has to be one of the funniest threads I've read in awhile and is an example of what Hype is doing for this movie.. Apparently, The DARK KNIGHT is so damn good that it will in fact cure blindness and possibly put an end to world hunger, hell even cure cancer.. ![]() |

No shit it was a joke hence why I thought it was hilarious(Yet true the way the hype is being made out to be for this movie).. And yeah, I know I lost a bet and yeah, I'll be taking 3 months off but not before I sink my claws in to this.. |

If anything, I'm more interested in the movie critic who actually has the balls to give the movie a bad review, hell, even a lukewarm review and watch the folks at SHH such as yourself get all worked up over it much like all of you are over Devins review of it at CHUD and don't deny that you haven't cause I've seen what's going on over at SHH Forums.. There all but wishing death on this guy cause he didn't give it the glowing review you all were expecting, even if he said he liked it with minor criticism.. |

loyalfromlondon wrote: I think you may have picked the wrong Batman film to trash BKB. ![]() ![]() ![]() The Dark Knight could become the biggest film of 2008, both critically and financially. BKB, you're having the worst luck. Actually, I think I've had a pretty decent year thus far predicting, even in my vague sort of way of doing so.. I've called a few films this year, but I'm still bummed on TIH not performing better than it should cause it really is a good movie, a good HULK movie that is and Ang Lee pretty well pissed this away thanks to alot of moviegoers still pissed off at his movie and not willing to budge on this new one.. As for TDK?? It's basically critic proof in the sense that no film critic will be caught with their britches down trying to actually critique a dead actor and as a result, Ledgers death ahas alot to live up to in terms of this movie.. I do find it strange that before Ledgers death, no one gave a crap about him and all of sudden, he bites the dust and he's all of a sudden an Oscar contender cause of it and everyone jumping on this bandwagon.. |

Nope, but I hear Jesus is going to stand in line for the midnight showing. He hasn't done that since Wall-E. |

Even Devin at CHUD is going to give it an 8 or 8.5 according to a post on the website right now. He is against the overhype, but not against the film. BKB, on the other hand, is so anti-Nolan it's pretty pathetic. He can't even judge the film without a ridiculous bias. Go jerk off to Tim Burton's Planet of the Apes. Meanwhile the rest of us will enjoy the fact that Nolan is kicking the crap out of Burton's movies. |

If you adjust inflation for what Burton's 89 BATMAN made by today's standards, it would've smoked BEGINS at the box office.. BATMAN 89 made a fortune back then.. |

And WTF does that have to do with the quality of the film? ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. Fuck, Batman & Robin would have made $300+ million if it was the first Batman movie by WB. |

http://www.firstshowing.net/2008/07/01/ ... evolution/ Geeze.. ![]() ![]() Quote: This is not a review of The Dark Knight. However, considering the film isn't even in theaters yet, it might come as a surprise to hear so much profound praise, but I can't help from sharing my feelings on this absolute masterpiece. In fact, I've decided to move beyond calling it a masterpiece to calling it potentially a cinematic revolution. Not since Lord of the Rings: Return of the King five years ago in December of 2003, did I walk out of the theater so moved, so amazed, and so extraordinarily impacted by the movie I had just watched. Instead of reviewing this film and its many brilliant elements, I must explain why it truly is a flawless masterpiece that the world will experience together on July 18th. Don't necessarily change any of your expectations, but be prepared for an unforgettable theatrical experience. ![]() |
