I gave a go for a general most anticipated summer movies, so, guys, please stay on topic.

And as it's general summer thread, lets remove those months from title, we have threads for that (plus, summer starts in may, right? )


And it's easy for me, Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. Nothing else. This one will actually make me go to theater for the first time since 2005.

Ten Most Anticipated:

1. The Dark Knight- Looks even better than Batman Begins, which placed #4 on my 2005 top ten list. Heath Ledger is going to be fucking amazing as the Joker.

2. Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull- It's the first Indy film released in my lifetime, and it looks to have recaptured the spirit of the original trilogy. I have a feeling that it will be all kinds of awesome.

3. Pineapple Express- The red band trailer is the funniest I've seen for any movie this year, and Apatow's gang is yet to fail with the R-rating. Seth Rogen and James Franco are going to make for awesome buddies in this buddy-stoner-action-comedy.

4. Wall-E- I'm not quite as crazy for this as some on this site, but it looks like another big winner from Pixar. They've yet to make a movie to miss my yearly top ten list.

5. Iron Man- The first trailer had me doubtful, but every promotional piece since then has convinced me that this is going to be a pretty good movie. I love the cast, particularly Robert Downey, Jr. in the lead. It should be a solid way to kick off the season.

6. Get Smart- Favorite comedian (Steve Carell) + Bona Fide Hottie (Anne Hathaway- ) + Good trailer = I'm there opening day.

7. The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian- I actually really liked the first film and this one looks like an improvement over it.

8. Tropic Thunder- I love the concept and the cast. The trailer didn't quite live up to my expectations, but odds are a funnier red band trailer will probably surface sooner or later. Either way, it's got a lot of potential as a movie.

9. Hancock- Despite a weak teaser trailer, I've still got faith in this one. Will Smith has been making good career choices lately and Peter Berg has already directed two films I really liked (The Rundown and The Kingdom), so I'm hoping for another success here.

10. Step Brothers- Will Ferrell and John C. Reilly were an awesome screen pair in Talladega Nights, and regardless of whether this ends up being PG-13 or R (I'd guess the former after Semi-Pro and Walk Hard), they're going to bring a great deal of that magic back for this one.

Yeah, well that doesnt quite express it. When people were dying to see the new Star Wars films, I was excited, but I was still saying, Id rather have a new Indiana Jones. This is the one movie that started me going to online sites like this. I've literally been following the new Indiana Jones movie since 2000

that is fine, I just meant that I figured you picked that avatar based on your love on a movie or the series or the actor.

Also, I think it will be interesting how the top 5 work out.

I couldn't even find five to pick. I got four, and one of those was "other movie not on the list." It would actually be several not on the list .

Otherwise I picked WANTED, THE DARK KNIGHT, and GET SMART.
