National Treasure (a million times better than I imagined)
The Butterfly Effect (wow, never saw this coming at all!)
Collateral (never expected it to be that great)
Friday Night Lights (one of the best sports movies ever)
Mean Girls (I was forced to see this, and it made my top 100)

Collateral
Saw
Shaun of the Dead
Dawn of the Dead
The Grudge
The basic reasoning behind four of those is because I didn't see myself as a horror fan before this year, but I'm really liking the more modern horror/thriller films. Oh, and all five of those are on my top 100, so not every movie I think will be good is good.
The most surprisingly good: The Polar Express

Easily the Girl Next Door. I did not expect the movie to be that funny.

Infact after the bad reviews, Alexander really really suprised me, i loved it because i went in there expecting not much.
I was pleasantly suprised by Saw also, loved it, in my top 10 now.
Alot of the others i expected to be brilliant, Collateral, i didnt expect it to be quite so brilliant, SO BRILLIANT that it ends up at number 4th movie ever, and seeing as though ive seen well over a 1000, maybe 2000 movies in my life so far, thats incredible for it to reach so high.
