With no more LOTR movies, any news on the Hobbit. Is it Needed or do you want it?

And do you miss the LOTR event as we had a movie opening in 2001, 2002, 2003. It is probably about a year since the ROTK movie was ending in theater showing.

I think we've been given exactly the right amount of LOTR without too much overkill. The bubble's been stretched as far as it can go, giving it any more air would risk it exploding completely. Give it some time to deflate a little before trying to pumping it up again.

Y'see, a franchise is a lot like a bonsai tree. If you water it too much, it'll die. Likewise, if you don't water it at all, it'll die. The key is in the balance, giving it the right amount of food and sun to allow it to thrive. Then you trim it so it doesn't get out of control.

A franchise is like a lifetimes supply of Bran Flakes. If you keep eating bowl after bowl of said Bran Flakes then your bowels will be regular, yes, but you'll end up fat from eating so many Bran Flakes! You can still say fit, healthy and regular with a steady diet of Bran Flakes spread out over a longer period of time.

I got a million of these babies.

True, it's not the epic good vs evil struggle, more small scale, more of an adventure story. Still, it would be great to be back in Middle-earth, to see Ian Mckellen as Gandalf the grey again! Yeah, i miss those LOTR events...

If you've read the book you'd realise

WE DO! =D>

seriously for the one ahmed johnson the hobbit holds great charm

THE LOCATIONS:

Laketown (highly unique!)

The Lonely Mountain

A chance to see The Shire again
The creatures: Smaug the dragon! gollum again! Beorn!

The return of Gandalf The Grey!

DWARF ARMIES!!!!

plus a ton of other things

THIS COULD ACTUALLY BE

the strongest middle-earth movie if they nail it since its a fully self-contained story

AND THUS

lends itself better to the adaption process!

IN PETER JACKSON'S HANDS IT IS POTENTIALLY THE MOST MAGNIFICENT MOST VIVID KIDS FILM EVER

My fear is that if they do make The Hobbit, the studio will know that most moviegoers are dumb and probably don't know a hobbit from a hobo despite claiming to love Lord of the Rings, so they'll end up calling it Lord of the Rings: The Hobbit, or The Hobbit: A Lord of the Rings Film. Something stupid like that. Roll your eyes all you want, but I've seen dumber things... in fact, I've seen "Dumb and Dumberer" movie titles.

Well PJ has confirmed his next movie after King Kong ... and it's not the Hobbit

It's ok though ... it is gonna get made eventually right ... I mean it has too ... I want to see it more than the LOTR series ... the book has so much potential and with PJ manning it ... oh man.

The Hobbit definitely won't be as heavy as LOTR. It will be a lot like Radiers of the Lost Ark or Pirates of the Caribbean....just an all around fun film. And as long as we see it in 5-10 years, I'll see it. I'd like to see it in the wake of LOTR, but not within the next three years or so.
