I'm hoping Brosnan does at least one more. Some of these names has me concerned somewhat, Clive Owen: He may be a good actor and all. In the famous words of Ahnuld, he is a Girly Man. That would kill the franchise :???: Hugh Jackman: Probably a good choice ![]() Bana: I don't know about him :???: What do you think? |

I hope Brosnan does one more, too. He's a great Bond. I'll see it no matter what, but I think Brosnan was great. |

Here's a off the wall choice that has never been mentioned - maybe because it isn't a good idea of just no one ever thought of it. Guess I am going Non - British. Johnny Depp. Also I really don't like either Clive Owen or Hugh Jackman. Maybe they are close to what Connery was but I like the newer Brosnan mold. |

Brosnan's time is up, Die Another Day sucked major a$$! Although i think he was cool in Goldeneye, Tomorrow Never Dies and World is Not Enough, his time is done. We need another Bond, or even better yet....NO MORE BOND FILMS. |

After the awesome success of movies like Catwoman and Elektra, I wonder how much longer before we get that Jinx spin-off for Halle? |

What's next: JINO? Clive Owen's the best actor on that list. Hugh Jackman's probably aging a bit too quickly, though. Isn't he in his 40s? I think a young James Bond is desirable at this point (someone who can last at least 15 years. Jackman won't be able to, I think) but Bana's TOO young. What do I know, though. I haven't even seen all the Brosnan Bonds. ![]() |

[-X *hopes Appy doesnt read this* ![]() I just think Depp is a great actor and could pull it off as a serious, not comedic, Bond. I know I am streching it as I don't think there are alot of choices. Connery and Brosnan rule as Bonds. |

I hope it's Clive Owen. Although, I'm not sure he'll ever top the intensity he displayed in Closer. |

There was some rumor floating around that Brosnan and the producers were back talking with one another. Whether that is true or not, i'm not sure but let's say it is. By the time the film comes out in 06' he will be 53 I think. As long as he doesn't look too old (Like Roger Moore did in A View to a Kill) they should try to sign him on for one more. However, if that doesn't work out (Which i'm sure it won't) my choice would be Owen, but since he doesn't really want to be Bond, I guess I would say Hugh Jackman. At least they have Martin Campbell on to direct the film. |

Ughhhh! #-o (no offense, Libs, I just don't like Clive) Hugh Jackman would be an obvious choice, but I like Ioan Gruffudd (Fantastic Four) as my choice. http://imdb.com/name/nm0344435/ He's young enough (31) that he could do the role for years, and they could make him look a little older than he is until they don't have to anymore. He has a very James Bond like voice. Sounds like he would be good with witty dialogue. |

At least they have Martin Campbell on to direct the film. To add on, I understand Brosnan is Campbell's first choice, a sort of grand farewell since he ushered in the Brosnan era in such high fashion (a tank chase!). I do think the delay has less to do with who plays 007 and more to do with the direction of the franchise. Some in the Bond camp want less CGI and more detailed stories that span more than one film (SPECTRE) while others want to build upon the CGI fest that was Die Another Day. Having seen all the films and documentaries, and read most of the nonfiction books about the franchise, I do think there's a way to split the difference and be high tech with the stunts and SFX, yet create an interesting story that isn't formulaic and forgettable. |

i'd like to see Ewan McGregor as Bond. He's only 33 so he could play Bond for 20 years |

There are way too many unknowns at this point based on what jmart and loyal have said. Hopefully they get started on the next movie soon ![]() |
