While visually that was pretty great, it seems like nothing I remember about the book, and I've sorta lost all desire to see it. |

Looks pretty amazing. The editing needs some work (there is too much of it right now), and it looks like the facial movements could use a touch up, but I'm diggin it big time. |

Oh yeah, lmao I was thinking he might be talking about the entire character since the facial expressions aren't all that impressive. Yeah. Still, the fact that Jonze (in the face of what was likely heavy pressure from the studio) decided to create the Wild Things using mostly puppeteers and suit work is impressive and should be commended. I mean, they look great, and much better than anything CGI could churn out. But yeah, the face work still needs some major polishing. |

I love this shot... ![]() The way the setting sun is visible whenever the Wild Thing moves, the hand held camera, the naturalistic lighting and setting... It's freakin' great! I'm really happy where Spike Jonze has gone with this. It could have been terrible 300-like bullshit. I'm really disappointed this isn't going to make it out this year. |

This is, according to YouTube comments that someone on Awardsdaily posted, just test footage. So, if it is, the real thing will probably be spectacular. |

Am I alone in thinking that it looks a bit rubbish? |

I don't mind the look. Which isn't to say I like it either. It looks irreverent and quirky in all those unnecessarily indie ways. The actual content of the clip, however, isn't magical or endearing... it's boring. I mean, can you imagine watching another two hours of conversations like that? |

And it was so incredibly stilted. If this does end up being what the movie actually is like, it'll be a 2 hour movie, with only about 30 minutes of anything actually happening. The rest with be the pauses between each word. |

I havnt seen the clip - but surely you cant tell what a film will be like based on a one scene/conversation!? I think its best to wait for a trailer. |
