Re: WOKJ's 100 Greatest Performances: Live! (revealing top 20!)
Hmm..how is my Top 20 doing?
1. Ninotchka - Greta Garbo - 1939 2. City Lights - Charles Chaplin - 1931 3. Citizen Kane - Orson Welles - 1941 4. Lawrence of Arabia - Peter O'Toole - 1962 5. The Passion of Joan of Arc - Maria Falconetti - 1928 6. Gone With the Wind - Vivien Leigh - 1939 7. Annie Hall - Diane Keaton - 1977 8. Double Indemnity - Barbara Stanwyck - 1944 9. Singin' in the Rain - Gene Kelly - 1952 10. Some Like It Hot - Jack Lemmon - 1959 11. His Girl Friday - Rosalind Russell - 1940 12. Dr. Strangelove - George C. Scott - 1964 13. The General - Buster Keaton - 1927 14. On The Waterfront - Marlon Brando - 1954 15. Sunset Blvd. - Gloria Swanson - 1950 16. The Treasure of the Sierra Madre - Humphrey Bogart - 1948 17. Annie Hall - Woody Allen - 1977 18. All About Eve - Bette Davis - 1950 19. Casablanca - Ingrid Bergman - 1942 20. The Big Lebowski - Jeff Bridges - 1998
I was really happy to see George C. Scott for Dr. Strangelove. He, more than even Sellers, makes the film.

Can YOUR list say that??? No, my list would say "I am a thoroughly considered sampling of what yoshue conisders to be the 100 essential movie-going experiences of his life, entertainment-wise, imagination-wise, and otherwise-wise. Subsequently, I am not subject to simplistic categorization." And at any rate, my list does include a heavy-dosage of blockbusters. I have Gone With The Wind in my Top 10, for the love of Xenu!

Delpy, Benning, and Portman were probably 3 of the 4 female close calls.

I'm going to bed too. No matter the outcome (unless Delpy does appear), I want to congratulate Xia and Chris for organizing this contest. It has been fun selecting the actors and of course watching the results being announced. Looking forward to future contest/lists of this nature. P.S. If Delpy appears forget what I wrote above, you all can go to hell!

Good pick.
I am shocked that Bogart has not appeared at all on the list. African Queen and Sierra Madre not among the 100 best performance is (would be??) a travesty.

Speaking of which, Levy, the very idea of your number one makes my head bleed. I'm sure she's fine, loved Pride & Prejudice....but come on!
