BOMB!!! I mean, this was fine back in the 70's when I was kid for good wholesome fun and all, but is there REALLY a place for this movie in today's market audience??? Really??? :-k Quick, someone cue the Mushroom Cloud Explosion cause that's what I'm seeing for this right now...

Why Lindsay Lohan decided to make this movie is beyond me.. It has bomb written all over it.

I don't think Lohan makes any decisions by herself..

Anyhow, her star status will probably rescue the movie from completely bombing. I don't see it making less than 50 Million

Maybe Lindsay Lohan will go away after this one goes bye bye. Shes flashing those fakies under 20 layers of slap in every magazine, newspaper and news channel you watch now a days.

The poster is some very generic 70's effects you could learn of the internet, and Lindsay Lohan vectorised looks creepy.

Whats the budget?

Five dollars, and that was just so Lindsay Lohan would keep her clothes ON.

No but with a cast that includes Michael Keaton, Matt Dillon and the already overpriced Lohan as well as the Nascar setting, id say $35m minimum. Being a BV Disney picture you can bet your bottom dollar its budget will be inflated.

I find it hypocritical that you write a whole rant about bitching and whining about people trashing Garner and then are slinging shit at Lindsay Lohan.

I like the poster. I don't like Lindsay Lohan and will not see the movie. But it is a clever poster. It doesn't matter if the effect is easy, but it gets the message across, and is different from anything else that's out there at the moment.

I doubt it will bomb. After Freaky Friday's excellent performance two years ago, I see a similar performance, but slightly smaller final result, for this film. $25 million opening, $90 million total.

I also think it is fantastic that they are using the classic style VW bug and haven't seen the need to update it to the new Beetle.

Much better poster than many that are out there at the moment. I don't know how the film will turn out, but I certainly like the tone and style being put across here.

I like it. It's going to do just fine. Atleast 50 million. :)

Freaky Friday was a hit, and before it came out, one would have wondered how it would have found an audience. This probably will be no different. Not as big, but I think it will bring in the usual Lohan business (which is all over the place, but I think around $70 million is possible).

I love the poster! It's really cool looking. There's no way this is going to be a bomb. I see at least $50 million for this, and maybe even more than that depending on the marketing, reviews, and buzz.

I think it should do even more then that. Its a family film with a hot star and a sequel (?) to a popular 1970's franchise. There will be a lot of familes that go to see it, and many older viewers who go for the nostalgia. There is no way it will make less then $20 million opening weekend, and I'd expect more around $25-$30 million.

Hey don't come slaming me. I actually like Lindsay Lohan as an actress, shes effective, pretty and was very good in Freaky Friday. The Parent Trap is one of my guilty pleasures of all time and i must have seen it maybe 12 times now; so its not like im anti-lohan.

I just dont appreciate the way she goes out to self-promote herself, and sings pretty b-grade popsongs about being annoyed by the paparazzi on an album done only around the time she starred in Mean Girls; when she wasn't even hugely notable. I just prefer my actresses keeping low-key outside their careers.

Well I dont think it would really bomb if you look at the line up for summer 2005. With the exception of Madagascar and Willie Wonka, there really isnt any lineup for family films. I still must say the Herbie series back in the 70s shouldnt warrant any sequels sinc I never liked them back when I was a toddler

Either way, don't try and do a little stand up gig about Lindsay Lohan's breasts. As if it weren't already flogging a dead horse, it's simply not funny.

And honestly, I like the poster too, they have a really cool retro style going on. When you look back on it, Lindsay is batting 2 for three for movies that were big hits that everyone said would bomb (Mean Girls, Freaky Friday, Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen). I don't even like her that much, though I don't mind her body.

My question is how involved will NASCAR actually be in this film? Endorsement, I hope not. As a NASCAR fan and afficianado, the film isn't going to work on several levels:
1. A Volkswagon Bug does not meet NASCAR strict requirements for size, weight and shape of the vehicle. It worked in the original because Beetles WERE used as road racers.
2. True NASCAR fans are going to be insulted by this.
3. The "Lohan" fan crowd and the NASCAR fan crowd aren't exactly a cross-polinated group. While this film may bring out the Lohan crowd. NASCAR fans will stay away in droves.
