This has to be the best Wes Anderson film yet A+. I loved The Royal Tenenbaums and Rush more but the tops them all! It was funny and serious roled into one. not a person in the theater was uninterested. Everyone laughed deep and hard and enjoyed themselves its been awhile since I was in a crowd that much fun. The casting was great I loved everyone in it.
please share your thoughts on this film

Hugely under-rated, one of my favorites of the year, and yes, it really might be Wes Anderson's best movie.

Haha, thanks Appy, Eternal Sunshine really is a great movie, so many moments from it to capture (I'll probably show one of the unhappier scenes next time I break up...). And with Wes Anderson, he really has managed to improve with each film for sheer imagination and beauty. I just hope he takes a slightly different approach next time, because I wouldn't want one of his films to collapse under it's own weight, and were he not such a deft director, Life Aquatic could have very easily been that movie.

I love Eternal Sunshine. Well each movie is a bit different but still has almost the asame story. I like it that he uses the same cast each time and adds new ones. I love Defoe in this film always wearing the shorts and his heart on his sleeve.

Yeah, he seems to constantly run with the theme of families, both real ones and the ones we make for ourselves. It does seem like his last two movies have been a bit larger scale, with both having patriachs that are assholes. Mayhaps his dad was?

yeah it makes you wonder what his family life was like. He shows happy times but also very depressing times.

The one thing that I really like is those certain things that you can identify with, even if not completely directly. I know that my family of sorts definitely had a guy like Owen Wilson is Royal Tenenbaums.

Yeah I could identify with alot of the film. Granted my family is nothing like anyone in the film. But I have friends with familys like that.

It is the only one of his movies that I enjoyed (though I still haven't seen Bottle Rocket).

Bottle Rocket is funny. It has the greatest begining. You should see it all 3 Wilson brothers are in it.
