Searching for this I didn't see anything, as I saw the Honeymooners trailer yesterday.

Hearing about the Honeymooners, I was wondering what or how they would do with it. But after seeing the trailers with the black stars like Cedric and others, it looks like they might have found something interesting. At least better than I first thought.

What are your views on how these movies will be

- Honeymooners
- Bewitched - Will Ferrell & Nicole KIdman
- Dukes of Hazzard - this better have some great action or it will be painful.

And thinking about it - what other tv remakes would you like to see?

I think a cool one to remake - as they already did the Addams Family - would be the Munsters - that would be cool with a 100 million dollar budget - it would be crazy.

I saw a tv report on that in passing - I thought they were talking about a tv remakes - they were talking about the old remakes with Battlestar Galactia and others.

The Kojak remake stars that Ving Rimes ( SP? ) actor

Thats it, Ving Rhames!!!! How can they do this? He is cool, but the character Kojak needs more than cool, Kojak was NOT John Shaft, and i reckon that is what they'll turn him into.

So has anyone seen the Honeymooners trailers? It seemed funny or do you have to remember/like/be a fan of the old tv show to appreciate it more.

I used to love the show, but I haven't seen any trailers for it at all.

I think it started this week as I saw it in front of Coach Carter ( both black starring movies )

Let me tell you what's gonna happen with BEWITCHED: It will BOMB and BOMB hard because for the folks who grew up in the 70's watching this show such as myself, there was only 1 actress that people identified with and that was Elizabeth Montgomery who played Samantha Stevens in BEWITCHED and she pretty much had the patented role for playing this character.. People are not going to buy or embrace Nicole Kidman as Samantha Stevens in this nor Will Ferrel in the Dick York/Dick Sargeant Role of Darrin Stevens.. [-X The same thing will happen with The Dukes of Hazzard movie to and while were at it, put a fork in the Honeymooners to.. Jackie Gleason is another past actor known for this role only and anyone else trying to recreate this will BOMB to.. Will see.. :-#

I agree that the above shows ruled and the new movies aren't going to equal them. BUT the BO will depend on how likable the stars and how the movies will be reviewed.

- Dukes - think that will be a bomb.

- Bewitched - how much of a BO will Nicole Kidman and WILL FERRELL bring in. Plus this plays alot on cable so that could help. ( One funny thing on this, unlike EM above who could just wiggle her nose. On NK, I heard people mention and saw on the trailers that she has to wiggle her mouth and can't just wiggle her nose. )

- Honeymooners - this will bring in major black $ with Cedric and other black stars and based on the trailers, I think it will bring in some crossover white BO $

Well, since John Kerry isn't president he could star as Herman Munster in the Munsters. I'll call the studio....
