Holy fuck, what the hell was that? Does David Lynch have access to the best psychedelic mushrooms on the planet? What the hell is that "baby" made from? Why the hell does the picture look so good for a $10,000 16mm film from the mid-70s? The cinematography is gorgeous. The sound design could probably make one incontinent at the proper volume.

I also watched for the first time recently.

I still don't have a grade. I'm gonna have to watch it again. It may be the greatest or the worst film ever made.

Eraserhead is definitley on my watch list, with Mulholland Drive being in my top 10 and all...

You really have to watch it with an open mind. Don't go in expecting a traditional film. Don't even go in expecting a traditional Lynch film. It's got very little dialogue and a pretty slow pace, but if you can get into it, it's worth it. Just don't try to reconcile any of it with what you think of as a 'weird' film. As I said in my review, it makes Donnie Darko look like Titanic.

I have seen it twice, and I hated it more the second time. The only cool thing about it was the industrial sound through out the movie. People say there is all kinds of hidden meaning, I could catch some of it but it doesn't make it better........
