"Gold Circle Films has picked up feature rights to Thomas Wheeler's fantasy-adventure The Arcanum out of turnaround from Miramax. The Arcanum, Wheeler's debut novel, is set in 1919 and follows the titular secret society comprising the era's leading occult investigators -- Arthur Conan Doyle, Harry Houdini, H.P. Lovecraft and Marie Laveau -- as they battle demons descending on New York City, including a serial killer of angels." FULL STORY HERE _______________________________________________________________________________________________ Now this sounds quite good! |

I like the concept. I always love those old Jules Verne-like SF books... so many films have tried to capture that feeling and failed though (like LXG). |

I never heard of the book but is the concept of the book something like a melding of early 20th century technology with wizardry and magic? The game by the same name was my only knowledge but I dont know if it was based on the same book |
