 Postal clip of 9/11 "spoof"
http://www.joblo.com/uwe-boll-can-die-now
It would seem it's only a matter of time before this movie gets some press for its blatantly offensive/controversial nature, which is I'm sure just what old Uwe is counting on.

Well ya can't say it wasn't funny!
...reminds me of Death Star Repairmen... but then perhaps humor is more palatable when it's set in a galaxy far, far away...

Well, it looks like the Teutonic Terror is going to get the controversy he wants. It will certainly be interesting to see how (or if) the mainstream media reports on this.

That had the potential to be funny in the sickest way imaginable, but he kinda dropped the ball, so now he looks more like a douche praying that controversy will get him a commercial hit for once in his life.

Oh my goodness, I can't wait to see what kind of trainwreck Boll can turn this into. Now that he's apparantley in on the joke that he sucks, he seems to be embracing it and is going for comedy controversy? This is uncharted territory. I honestly have no idea how this is going to turn out.

Does this have a distributor yet? I can't imagine a company would be willing to pick this up unless its someone like Newmarket Films (which handled the controversial Death of a President and The Passion) or Lionsgate which usually embraces controversy. Hey, maybe Courtney Solomon and After Dark Films should pick this up and create a "dynamite" marketing campaign to go along with it.

It's being distributed by a German company called Kinostar with a U.S. release date of September 27th (a Sunday...yeah, I can't figure it out either). This likely means that although it will be released uncut, it will only play in 300 theaters max.
Unless, of course, the controversy really becomes massive. In that case I could see a wide release.

see Uwe Boll may be thinking of giving a big F U to the crowds so i guess I understand.
However, i think people should stop concentrating on Boll and start realizing that its not just him. If the scene is in the film, and even if its not, there were people out there, actors, editors, graphic artists, and marketers ... who all thought this would be a good idea.

That was an incredibly surreal clip.

Or a lot people just REALLY need paychecks.
I think my theory is more likely.
