As for negative crowd reactions, there was this atrocious little film called Cat in the Hat, and we went in to watch ROTK, but came too early and had to suffer through the last 20 minutes of Crap in the Hat. Man, I tell you, the faces of the people walking out, it was as if they were camp prisoners just liberated or something.

Awful film, just those 20 minutes made me sick.

Worst Reaction was The VIllage. First It got claps and then everybdoy just started booing.

Opening day reaction for The Day After Tomorrow was pretty bad. At least on my row. Most of the viewers got up, laughing to themselves or commenting on how stupid it was (including myself).

Well, Catwoman wasn't as bad as it could have been. Problem was it was cheesy but not cheesy enough. If they had gone completely over the top it may not have been such a train-wreck of a film as it was.

And throwing popcorn and candy at the screen and a loud chant broke out with all of you supposedly saying: Give us our money back you bastards?? Is that how it went down?? If I were the manager, I would've tossed you out on your delinquent asses with no refund for the amount of bullshit you stirred up over a movie.. Whatever..

Don't compare the reaction to America -> most of the Austrians have a different mentaltity (regarding religion)! This is why TPOTC didn't do that well in Austria (it earned about $1.8m) and Germany (about $10m).

Another bad crowd report had Wild Wild West (as mentioned before). People found it silly and dumb (well, I liked the film). :wink:
