Ok I'm shocked this thread has not been created! Here's my Pick. A Christmas Story- I have to watch it every year and I know every single line from "You'll shoot your eye out!", "I triple dog dare you", to" Sons of bitches Bumpuses" and last but not least "Far-ra-ra-ra-Ra-ra-ra-ra" Has to be one of the funniest movies of all time as well. |

Nothing beats "It's a Wonderful Life" one of the best movies ever. (Not to demand the others, but in my mind there is no comparison) |

I can't really say I like "It's a wonderful life" I've tried to get the kids to watch it but they say it's boring. |

Number 1 for me without a doubt is Its a wonderful life. A christmas story is also very good. |

My favourite Christmas movie would either be Scrooged, Gremlins, Nightmare Before Christmas or Christmas Vacation. But that's just 'cos they're all relics of me cosy youth. I only actually saw It's A Wonderful Life for the first time last year, and I thought it was bloody awful. Perhaps it's because I didn't see it as an innocent young bairn, all doe-eyed and free of adult ennui. But watching it felt like being force-fed a hefty dose of crusty old pooh topped with a schmaltzy syrup while someone shoved vanilla pops in my ass. |

It's A Wonderful Life may be a classic, but I have yet to watch it. Movies like The Grinch, Jingle All the Way, and The Santa Clause are all great, but nothing says Christmas Classics like Christmas Vacation (my favorite), A Christmas Story, Home Alone and Scrooged. |

I'd say Christmas Vacation, because that movie captures the true spirit of Christmas. Nothing ever goes right before Christmas or even on the day, yet it all seems to work out nicely in the end. |

I like the remake of Miracle on 34th Street, followed by The Polar Express. It's a Wonderful Life, while a classic is too naive for me. I've yet to see Grinch. |

Gotta go with the Alastair Sim version of "A Christmas Carol", but IAWL, and the cartoon version of The Grinch are very close runners-up. (Plus we've been lucky the last two years to have two future classics join the pantheon of Xmas movies - last year's wickedly black comedy "Bad Santa" and this year's criminally under-rated "Surviving Christmas"!) |

The question wasn't "What is the best kid's Christmas movie?" -- If that were the criteria, I would have voted for something else. The film isn't aimed at kids, so it's no wonder they would find it boring. |

Actually, both are criminally underrated, it's just that Bad Santa grossed five times more. I don't think Bad Santa is a mainstream Christmas classic either. |

Definitely A Christmas Story. No other Christmas movie compares to it in my opinion. Excellent characters, great dialogue, and hilarious as hell. I would put National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation as a close second. I absolutely love that movie! |
