What were the movie scenes that moved you, haunted you, or just left a lasting impression on you in 2004? Post them if you'd like. Mine are: -Pretty much every scene in The Passion of the Christ (especially many of the flashbacks) -The ending in The Notebook -The taming of Buccephalus in Alexander I'm sure there's a few more, but I can't remember them right now. These are the ones that really stick out for me. |

The most moving scene of 2004: Maya and Miles' wine discussion in Sideways. Hands down, for me. |

Kill Bill Volume 2 (Before Bill's last steps..., Beatrix seeing her Daughter for the first time) Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind (The ending) Closer (Larry asking questions about Anna's affair) ... ones that come to mind at once. |

*SPOILER* In Dogville where Patricia Clarkson and her children are murdered. It's very important in relation to another scene in the movie earlier between Clarkson and Nicole Kidman. |

The scene in Closer where Portman confronts Julia about Jude was pretty good. I wasn't to moved by anything in passion ... though the scene of him gettng whipped would have to be up there. Already mentioned was the scene in sideways between maya and miles describing themselves through wine, very good scene. Also I really loved the scene in Garden State where Braff is about to leave. Along with countless others from this movie. KJ |

The scene in The Passion of the Christ when the spear is stuck in Jesus' side and the water and blood run out. Man, that did it for me. I started weeping. |

For me it was when Mary has a flashback and young Jeshua falls and she runs to him to pick him up. Arghhhhhhhh I've never cried like that in a movie. |

I feel left out not having cried. I have never cried in a movie, came close though. Cant remember for the life of me what movie it was where I had to try not to cry, because i was about to. KJ |

What a terrible moment for a kid to watch that scene, but man, it was a great movie! |

What a terrible moment for a kid to watch that scene, but man, it was a great movie! My favorite animated movie of all time just because of that scene. No major character has ever been killed off in a disney movie or any movie for that matter. Yes bambi's mother died, but you didn't know her, didn't like her, didn't care about her. The Lion King is simply an amazing film. KJ |

Besides POTC which left me weeping like a new born, I just watched Man on Fire again and that movie gets me every time. At the end when Creasy gives himseslf up so that he can save Pita, that always gets me. I found the film to be one of the most emotionally galvanizing films of the last few years..... |

The Village - The stabbing and its aftermath. After those scenes were over and we were left with a still landscape shot of the village, I blinked and felt a tear roll down my cheek. So it was and still is, the most emotional movie moment of the year for me. Kiddo seeing her daughter at Bill's is a close second. |

I cried the first time I saw The Passion of the Christ, well more sobbed then actually cried. Cried when I saw the CBS Mini-series Joan of Arc for the first time. Almost cried in The Hours, and A.I.: Artificial Intelligence. There was something about the last scene that just hit me. I don't quite know why. |

Others: Joaquin Phoenix and Bryce Dallas Howard's conversation on the porch in The Village. I loved the tear falling off the unseen side of the face. Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind Clementine: This is it, Joel. It's going to be gone soon. Joel: I know. Clementine: What do we do? Joel: Enjoy it. The final 5 or so minutes of Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter... and Spring. Such payoff. The scene in the calligraphy school in Hero. Redddddddddddd. Loved it. Lila Lipscomb's breakdown in front of The White House in Fahrenheit 9/11. The film's highlight. |

Yeah, I agree about the part in Fahrenheit 9/11. That was one of those love-it-or-hate-it films. While I disagree with the content, Michael Moore is very talented as a film-maker and that scene was very emotionally moving. |

The part in F/911 where the Iraq women is crying out to God as to why she deserved the death of her loved ones is harrowing...all this while our wonderful president is sitting on his ass in the fuckin white house, ordering OTHERS to fight his war. |
