Okay, they have branded certain months on their schedule.

October - Saw Month
February - Tyler Perry Party Time (He has a film coming at least the next two years: Daddy's Little Girls and Why Did I Get Married?)

What's the next month they'll brand? They missed the opportunity to make January 'Hostel' month when it was delayed to April.

I think they're just an excellent studio in general, and very possibly a revolutionary step towards the future of Hollywood.

In what way do you think they're revolutionary?

How they manage to keep their budgets so low, therefore guaranteeing a profit. I think that with the decline in profits studios are going to start dropping budgets making more movies with appeal to certain demographics, and Lionsgate is really a pioneer in this. It's like the 1970s all over again.

Other studios are finally copying Lionsgate with the new Fox Atomic brand, not to mention studios like Rogue Pictures (one of the worst studios out there as far as actually making its films successful).

They've also been insanely big in the home video market. After Lord of War (A rare costly film) bombed, they pumped it heavily on DVD, and it sold 2.5 million copies in one week and nearly doubled their theatrical gross in rentals alone. That doesn't really make them revolutionary, but it does show just how smart they are as a company.

I also like that, unlike almost every promising indie out there (Miramax, Newmarket, Gramercy/USA Films, etc.) they haven't sold themselves out to another studio, and continue to make a name for themselves. AND they're the first 100% indie studio to win Best Picture.

Somebody with better writing skills than I should really write an article about them for the site.

On LGF's website, it just says "Coming Soon," so it's definitely not coming out in January.
