I saw it when I went to see Lemony Snicket's. It was cute, and the audience I was in liked it. Won't pull any big numbers though, since it's opening in September and all.

Is this not about the cartoon? It looks like Steve Martin's worst performance since Looney Tunes: Back in Action. Right now, I'm thinking same numbers for The Pink Panther as Looney Tunes had.

I haven't seen it and have no desire to see it cause it's a complete slap in the face to the late and great Peter Sellers and there's only 1 Inspector Clouseau and that's Peter Sellers, not Steve Martin.. I love Steve Martin and all, but come on already.. This movie has the word BOMB written all over it..

Umm, isn't this Steve Martin's first performance SINCE Looney Tunes?

The Pink Panther series is as good as they come. The reason was mainly Peter Sellers. No point in remaking/continuing a classic series with Steve Martin, whom I like and is totally uncalled for.

Still, it's only ONE movie between Looney Tunes and Pink Panther. It kind of leaves little ground. It's either his best film since Looney Tunes or his worst film since. Very little ground in between.

Looks like pretty good slapstick.
I'll probably go see it.
I love the originals.
I hope I haven't already seen all the best parts, however. :?

I saw it and even though Steve Martin is one of my favorite actors - It was pale a comparision to the great Peter Sellers. Even if you want to see, rent one of Peter Sellers great Pink Panther movies.
