i think it would work a lot better without the competition aspect. anyone following along who doesnt sign up can still post and say "oh ive seen em all"...and if at the end, one of those people really does "win", do they not "win" cuz they never signed up? i say just post the movies 10 per day or whatever and lets see who has seen what, dont make it any more than it really is, it's an interesting enough idea to work without subtracting genres and arbitrary "winning" levels of watching, yknow. :O ps, i've really gotta learn to just stop typing, i was genuinely done like, two days ago :O :O |

Its important to note now, that for all you that are silently competing good luck to you. But even so, its somewhat of a hidden theory in addition, that you are all men for competing, and are true fans for risking your reputation. Bravo. I will add the list very soon. I will note that Mike Q and Rawsaw were also possibly entries that I did not add. One final thing, if you come accross that you actually have seen all the entries in the genre you chose to leave out, you will get to add it to another. |

Here are the six genres which consiste of five films each. I shall add the others later. A note is that usually I am referring to a franchise. If you've seen any of them, it still counts. 30 films in, and I'll note that most likely the hardest genre's will be Western and possibly Drama. Apart from that, I would say the list gets easier. |

I missed on 3 of the Westerns (The Good the Bad and the Ugly, High Noon and Maverick) and one drama (Wall Street), so I'm done I guess. 
It turns out that dropping sports was a good idea, since I've only seen Rocky from that list and I ended up having seen all but Aladdin in the musical category. |

I knew High Noon would pose a threat, I was going to go with the 3rd Back to the future, but I kinda didnt want it there, Westerns were tough to pick, so I have no problem with some of you missing that. I garantee that the other genres are much easier. |

By the time I'm 30 I'll have seen all of these though... sigh. I seriously doubt anybody will get past 60-70 films on this list, there is just always movies we haven't seen. |

For Instance, Drama was devided into Historical (LA Confidential) Satire (Forrest Gump) Strong messages (Wall Street) Kinda a mix of different things (Fargo) and Dark Drama (Shawshank) I didnt want to stick to one specific genre, because so many people have different tastes, its more likely they would have seen these different types then all the same. |

Even though I'm out, might as well. Haven't seen: COMEDY - Young Frankenstein (I'm assuming Vacation is franchise by the way?) ACTION - A lethal Weapon film - The Rock - A Rambo film - Predator - Aliens - A Dirty Harry film (Theres five) FAMILY - The Sandlot HORROR - Alien - Frankenstein (32) - The Texas Chainsaw Massacre THRILLER - The Game - Breakdown - The French Connection - Ransom SCI FI - Planet of the Apes (The old) - Star Trek (Any)... I fucking hate trek. ROMANCE - When Harry Met Sally - Ghost Popcorn at its finest - Rocky 4 - Commando - The Patriot (Mel, not Segal) - From Dusk Til Dawn - Under Seige I just got an idea. How about instead of the 3 strikes and your out thing, we make it more of an overall competition between the users here. Everyone does their lists, and totals up their scores of how many they got wrong. We list the scores, and see who comes out on top, as well as who's lead pack, and who sits near the bottom.  I think that could be cool. We could even label groups according to the movies seen as Cinefreaks, cinelovers, casual viewers, part viewers, and Cinesuck. We could make a whole big thing out of it.

Haven't seen the following: COMEDY - Dumb and Dumber (looked too stupid to watch) ACTION - A Rambo film (I am not a Stallone fan and this seemed too pro-war for me) - Predator (Seemed like just another monster flick) - A Dirty Harry film (Yeah, I probably should see one some day) FAMILY - Look Who's Talking (Seriously? You picked this over Babe or Little Mermaid or a bunch of others?) HORROR - The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (Wow, except for this, I am surprised that I have actually seen the others) THRILLER - Seven (I should see this one day) - The Game (The Michael Douglas film? Saw parts one time, never finished it) - Breakdown (What's this? Never heard of it) SCI FI (seen 'em all) ROMANCE - The Notebook (My wife saw it though, does that count?) Popcorn at its finest - Rocky 4 (Not a Stallone fan, except for Oscar) - Commando (Sigh) - Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (I was too old when this came out) - From Dusk Til Dawn (It's on my list to see! I missed it when it came out. Must add to Netflix list) - Under Seige (Didn't look interesting to me) This was an interesting list. Well, true to my word, I have seen all films listed. I went through a phase in my late teens where i went out of my way to find some older films. I ended up watching Frankenstein (32) on TV, High Noon I rented, and then a few weeks later, I went out and rented a lot of Clint and his spaghetti westerns. So yes,I have seen everything on here.

I found Look Who's talking to be more accessible than an animated film, having two on their already, where Look Who's talking was an all around crowd pleaser, a lot of different demographics loved this movie. Its crazy that this film made 140 million domestically and 300 WW. So Far for members Baumer- 110/110 nicely done man Jmart- 90/110--------> 94/110 Groucho has seen 89/110- If you take into a the handycap, you've got 94/110, which is right in line (I took out Popcorn) Others Shack 75/ 110------> 81/110 with handycap (removed popcorn, unless you have two film categories that are more than six misses. And Shack, your idea is pretty good, the only problem is, that, after this one, every other will have an advantage for the fact they will get to see |

I all fairness, there aren't many "well known" films between 1970-1999 that I haven't seen. Even after 2000, when I got engaged and then married, I still managed to go to the theater about 3 times a week. It's only since work took over that i have only been to the theater maybe once a week now. But my DVD collection is in the 500's and I have seen many older mainstream films as well. Also, being 34 does have an advantage over most members. |

Still well done, I've seen all 110 myself  Granted I can't really count myself, but I think Id be able to come very close to someone else's list at age 19. I wouldnt take out a genre either. So far however, the average 101.3 for the three of you/110
