Just thinking since the latest overused idea is making way too many The Ring clones like Darkness and the Grudge. Im guessing we can also look forward to seeing many Kill Bill clones like Elekatra too in the future. I think almost every idea is used by hollywood even the look into the X-rated world ala Boogie Nights and just the other day when I was watching show time, they aired a showing of Rated X starring a balding Charlie Sheen that seemed like a Boogie Nights rip off. In the late 90s, we already saw a slew of Tarentino movie rip offs like Way of the Gun and Boondick Saints. And the whole surprise ending crap has been overused in movies like The Others and Basic. I cant think of any other idea that hasnt been overused |

Suprise endings aren't crap...unless you can watch the movie over, stick a finger on your chin, and say "hmmmm...this ending is far-fetched and cannot be supported throughout the rest of the movie..." |

If I knew what idea Hollywood hasn't beat into the ground I wouldn't post it here, I would write the script and make myself a movie. |
