I think it looks terrible. When will studios realize that the floating head thing just doesn't work.

I quite like the poster, not all that original though.

It's as bad as the movie's trailer.

Hate the tagline.
They needed to make the center picture bigger and lose the floating heads!

It doesn't really show the comic book supernatural element very well. Almost looks like a romance movie.

IMO, the poster's alright. Nothing incredible, but decent. I'm dying to see the movie, as Nicolas Cage is my favorite actor.

That's the best criticism I've heard of the poster so far, I was thinking the same, it reminds me of the front cover of a romance novel rather then a superhero movie. I also think the Ghost Rider typography looks horrible and doesn't work with the rest of the composition of the poster. But besides that I still think it's pretty good.

BTW, the new Ghost Rider trailer is supposed to be on Moviefone at 3pm this Wednesday. I s'pose Sony wants to attach it to The Grudge 2.

Maybe Sony realized that the current marketing really was only selling to teenage guys, and feeling burned after Stealth, xXx: State of the Union etc. they figured that selling it to girls more wouldn't be a bad idea. From a box office standpoint, I don't nessecarily disagree, although I'm never a fan of false adverteising like this.

I don't see what's so romantic about this poster. Yes, it features the main character (Nic Cage) and his love interest (Eva Mendes), but it also shows a motorcycle on fire and a leather-wearing skeleton with a flaming skull. I believe the poster sells the movie as a supernatural actioner with a romantic element. Not exactly misleading...

It's misleading in that it implies he made the deal to save the heroine, not his father.
And like I said I don't think it's a bad decision to sell it as as much of a romance as possible (which isn't that much). I mean, it does open right next to Valentines Day y'know.

Average at best. I too think the floating heads should have been removed, and the center pic enlarged.

Has anyone noted that that skull picture may be so small because the studio's knowledge of the terrible CGI?
