The only thing I dont understand is from the people who have a list graded A to F. How come you guys gave more movies an A to B as opposed to C to F from all the movies you saw in 2000? Are you saying you havent seen too many movies that are about average to you?

Well, some people may not be tough graders. I'm not a tough grader at all. If I enjoyed it, it's in the B range. If I really liked it or loved it, it's probably in the A range. If it's a C, it was okay but not that great. If it's in the D's and F's, it sucks.

I think somewhere, the whole grading system is lost. C means the movie is just average. Too many people think giving a movie a C is bad which its not. Dont be afraid people! I only give a movie a solid B for movies I think are better than the typical movie although Im still pushing it by giving movies like Punisher and Blade 3 a B- when I really wanted to give them a C

Same here, except I grade movies the same way Yahoo does or at least similarly. For instance and A+ (**** Stars) is Oscar Worthy, B (***) is good, C (**) is mediocre, D (*) is dreadful and F is all-time worst. However, sometimes I give movies an A+ grade that aren't really Oscar worthy (Ocean's Eleven/Twelve, etc). Any movie that is under a B- for me, I don't consider to be a good enough movie to recommend.

I tried to see movies I thought I'd actually like (well, most of the time), which explains the higher amount of A's and B's I had.

Hopefully, Little Nicky wasnt a movie that you wanted to go out of your way to see and a friend made you watch it. By gawd, was that movie dreadfully awlful along with MonkeyBone,Battlefield Earth and Bedazzled during that yeard

Dkmuto, you should check out The Tao of Steve (I noticed it wasn't on your list). It's a fun, cute (and most importantly, unique) romantic comedy with Donal Logue (yes, the guy from Grounded for Life). I think you'd enjoy it.

I have actually seen bits and pieces of it on movie channels over the past couple years. Maybe it's time for a full sit-down? :)

That what I try to do. If a movie looks really bad by the trailer, and it's getting bad reviews, I wont pay to see it.

I am aware of its domestic gross. However its rental gross was twice that, so people hre MUST have seen it. If not, they should, its a brilliant film, using stylish shots and fashionable music, and the plot is superb, not to mention the acting, its cool, with Sly as the lead, keepin it real.

See it!

It's such a terrible movie. I get nightmares sometimes. I'm not the biggest fan of animated movies anyways, so in order to get a good grade, it's got to be really good. Chicken Run was no where close. It's not the worst of the year (The Grinch was...).
